Theology Reading Group

We comprise a group interested in the interaction between religion and culture in the broadest possible sense and invite all to attend our sessions

Would you like to join an enthusiastic and friendly theological reading group? The intention is to read a wide variety of theological books and to meet up approximately once a month, to share thoughts, feelings and insights raised by the book we are reading.
Due to some people finding daytime more suitable and others the evening, we formed two groups, to give as many people as possible the opportunity to come. The two groups will choose their own books, suggested by the participants, so you could decide to go to both.
Morning Group. It meets approximately once a month in the hall of St. Joseph’s Church, Oldends Lane, Stonehouse GL10 2DG on Thursdays at 11:30am, after the 10am Mass.  The idea is for different members of the group to share leading the sessions. For any further information, you can contact Jennifer Richards by email at
Evening Group. The group meets at Whitminster House, Wheatenhurst, Whitminster, GL2 7PN on Wednesdays at 8pm.  Due to a reduction in numbers, the group has decided to take a pause for now, but Anita would be happy to restart it as soon as they have more people who are interested in joining the group.  For any further information, you can contact Anita Teesdale by email at or by phone on 01452 740204
